3 exciting and varied days at the largest German-speaking geotechnical conference with more than 1500 participants are behind us. Together with our partners BBI Hamburg and GSP Mannheim, we were represented in Bremen with a joint exhibition stand, 31 colleagues and 6 technical papers.
At the special session ‘Forum for Young Geotechnical Engineers’ on Wednesday, our ‘Young Geotechnical Engineers’ Sigrid Wilhelm (GuD), Lucas Olschewski (GuD) and Phillip Lenz (BBI) were able to give an insight into their work. Congratulations to Sigrid Wilhelm for the second best presentation at the special session!
Other presentations at the main event on Thursday and Friday were given by Dr Bert Schädlich (GuD) on the foundation of the RIN_01 ring railway bridge in Berlin, Dr Olaf Stahlhut (BBI) on the large bored piles for the A26 motorway in Hamburg and Dr Patrick Arnold (GuD) on the design philosophy of the new EC 7.
The new exhibition stand of the GuD group of companies was impressive with its open concept and invited many interesting encounters and discussions. In addition to the technical presentations, the get-together on Thursday evening in the trade exhibition was also a highlight of the conference.
Many thanks to the DGGT team for the excellent organisation, we look forward to welcoming you again.
