The extension and reconstruction measures of the listed Olympic Stadium in Berlin included, among other things, a 2,65 m drop in the pitch, the construction of the lower ring, the construction of a complete canopy of the stadium, the construction of the warm-up hall and an underground car park next to the stadium. In addition, the honorary tribunes were rebuilt as well as the marathon gate.
As part of the refurbishment and modernization measures at and in the Olympic Stadium, soil investigations and comprehensive consultation on geotechnical issues and the handling of hazardous substances were carried out. Built as a reinforced concrete skeleton in the 1930s, the Olympic Stadium was built on the ground plan of the previous German Stadium and is a listed building. In addition, demolition and disposal of the highly PCB and chlorinated paraffin coated stages proved to be particularly difficult.

- spatial exploration of existing foundation geometries including the documentation of results
- FE-modeling of the Olympic Stadium and the new roof supports (about 11 MN/support) for detailed settlement calculations
- geotechnical advice on excavation safety measures
