Offshore wind farm North Sea One

About 32 km northwest of the island of Juist and within the Exclusive Economic Zone (AWZ) of the Federal Republic of Germany, the offshore wind farm North Sea One is being built. It will comprise a total of 54 multi-megawatt wind turbines (WEA) with a total capacity of 332 MW and a substation on a net area of approximately 41.4 km2.

In this project, GuD was appointed expert for geotechnical engineering according to BSH standard and geotechnical designer. The ground and foundation report prepared by GuD contains a geological and geotechnical location description as well as a summary of field and laboratory test results in site-specific design profiles for the selected foundation variant with mono bloc foundation. For assessment of the mono-pile foundation, the subsoil was evaluated for bearing capacity. Appropriate calculation methods were named, considering the constant and cyclical loading situation.
